Gonzalo Gutiérrez Goizueta
Gonzalo Gutiérrez Goizueta is a Nature-based Solutions Specialist with the World Bank and one of the core members of the Global Program on NBS for Climate Resilience. In this role, he is supporting the uptake of nature-based solutions for addressing climate resilience and adaptation challenges across the World Bank portfolio through the development of targeted knowledge, tools and operational support for different Governments.
Prior to joining the Bank, Gonzalo worked in diverse projects and contexts, helping organizations in the private and public sectors to create sustainable business models able to support the protection and restoration of natural ecosystems. He holds a double bachelor’s degree in international business and finance from ICADE (Spain) and NOEMA (France) and a MSc in Environmental Resource Management specialized in ecosystem services and biodiversity from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
