Nathalie Doswald
Nathalie has been working for over a decade in international nature conservation, and climate change adaptation providing technical expertise and research to inform policy and decision-making processes. She holds a PhD in Ecology, specialising in impacts of climate change on biodiversity. She currently works on climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction, especially ecosystem-based adaptation and ecosystem-based disaster risk reduction (i.e. Nature-based Solutions).
Prior to joining AAE, an environmental consulting firm, she was Senior Officer on Nature-based Solutions at IFRC working to mainstream nature-based solutions into humanitarian contexts. She has also worked at UNEP disaster and conflicts branch as senior policy advisor on ecosystem-based disaster-risk reduction, and at UNEP-WCMC as programme officer where she helped define and provide the evidence base on ecosystem-based adaptation.
