Alexandra Deprez

Alexandra Deprez is a research fellow on international climate governance at IDDRI. She is the lead author of the recent Science article “Sustainability limits needed for CO2 removal” which evaluates sustainability limits for land-based CDR and draws out science and policy recommendations for a ‘reality check’ on the role of CDR in addressing the intertwined climate and biodiversity crises.

Alexandra has been involved in the UN climate negotiations since 2014, supporting the COP21 French Presidency on the Paris Agreement via IDDRI, as a negotiator for Costa Rica, and most recently on Rio Convention synergies, net zero integrity, and the Global Stocktake.
